    Registrations started for new Huawei Watch GT2

    Teasers for arrival of the Huawei Watch GT2 have been revolving around the internet for quite a long time now. But there was no official announcements made by Huawei. However, Huawei India has just updated their official website for the Huawei Watch GT2 registration button earlier today. 

    The link opens a pop-up window which leads to Amazon and Flipkart. 

    It is quite surprising that Huawei plans to launch the HUawei GT2 watch here in India being considering that the first generation of the GT2 watch was a total hit all over the country. 

    This smartwatch was rolled out in Berlin, Germany, in September during the IFA 2019 event. 

    Features and Specifications

    The Huawei GT2 watch is made available in two variants, 42 mm and 46 mm. On one hand the 42 mm variant comes up with 1.2 inches Amoled diaplyy with 390×390 pixels, while on the other hand the 46 mm version houses a 1.49 inches display with a resolution of 454×454 pixels. 

    The watch drwas the power from a kirin A1 chipset, which is the world’s first dual mode i.e. BT/BLe, BLuetooth 5.1 SoC with Huawei’s patented BT-UHD protocol which is able to transmit a speed of 6.5 mbps.

    The watch is based on Huawei’s in house Isochronous dual channel transmission technology for less power consumption and low latency. 

    It is also waterproof up to 50 meters. 

    Connectivity

    Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.1 BR/BLE/EDR. GPS and other features including a wide range of sensors – heart  rate sensor, gyroscopic sensor, geomagnetic sensora and accele are also available in the device.

    It is powered by a 455 mAh battery and runs on Google’s wear OS-based Lite OS. While the 46 mm variant offer 14 days of continuous backup, which is just limited to 7 days in the 42 mm version.
