[WhatsApp New Update] How you can use the ‘Dark Mode’ feature RIGHT NOW!

The dark mode in any application is met with mixed feelings: some like and some don’t. I am the former of those two and have it enabled on both mobile and web ever since its launch. The dark mode is soothing to the eyes and is much better than the hard blue light that puts strain on the eyes. It is a simple method to enable or disable WhatsApp in dark mode.

How to set the dark mode in WhatsApp?

Android:

  • Open the WhatsApp application on your android phone.
  • Navigate to the settings menu by clicking the three dots on the left corner.
  • After entering the settings, click on the chats section and then go to Theme settings under the Display option.
  • Click on it and select Dark as your system theme.
  • Viola! The dark mode is now enabled on your Android phone for WhatsApp.

iOS:

  • Open WhatsApp on your iOS device.
  • Enter the application menu and tap on the settings.
  • After that navigate to the chats section and tap on themes.
  • Select Dark and you have now changed the appearance to the dark mode.

Note: Owing to the recent updates, WhatsApp can also adopt the phone’s system default color scheme. Just click the system default option in the Themes section and WhatsApp will align its color scheme accordingly.

WhatsApp Web:

  • Log into the WhatsApp Web and click on the three dots to populate the feature list.
  • Click on the Settings option and then choose Theme.
  • Like mobile devices, you get three options.
  • Choose dark and click on ok. The dark mode is now applied to your WhatsApp Web.

How to turn off dark mode in WhatsApp?
