Vivo Y12s 2020 was the budget segment smartphone of last year by the brand. It is being revamped with a new processor and has been launched today as the Vivo Y12s 2021. There are a few minor changes that make it relevant in the year 2021.

Vivo Y12s 2021 is an entry-level smartphone with bleak specifications and a powerful battery. It comes with a new Snapdragon 439 processor while the older model sports an Helio P35 processor. Apart from the significant change in the processor, the Vivo Y12s 2021 comes with Android 11 out of the box. It makes it one of the few budget smartphones to run Android 11. Its predecessor was running Android 10 and this is a major improvement.
The Vivo Y12s 2021 comes with a single configuration, 3GB RAM + 32GB Storage. Users can expand the storage via the micro SD card slot. It uses an HD+ display with a normal refresh rate of 60 Hz. The rear camera array comes with a combination of a 13 MP primary and 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, the user gets the same 8 MP selfie shooter.
Being a budget smartphone, it still comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5000 mAh battery. The charging port is a micro USB that supports 10 W wired and 5 W reverse charging. The phone comes in two color schemes, Mysterious Black and Ice Blue.
Vivo Y12s 2022 release in India
The phone was launched in Vietnam today. The chances of making it to the Indian smartphone market are slim but still a possibility. India launches are often delayed which is further extended by the pandemic.
