After the outbreak of Covid-19, online classes have been used as a tool to teach the students. parents are not able to constantly track the educational activities which are taking place, so to tackle this problem Google have included Kids Tab in the Google Play store where the educational apps are categorised as “Teacher approved” apps.
Google informed about their plan via a blog post where Google stated “We decided to launch the Kids tab a bit earlier than planned because parents who have tried it out told us that it’s been helpful, especially now with their kids’ home from school and spending more time with screens”.
To improve the coordination between teachers and parents, Google tried to enhance the learning experience of students. The educational app is now filtered via various filters which includes age appropriateness, enrichment and quality of experience.
Google also claims that the apps are approved by various recognized institutions and renowned scholars so as to ensure the best quality is being served to the users. Kids tab is currently available in US and will get active within a few days but Google is planning to launch the tab in multiple countries.
