    • Samsung Galaxy A51
    • Samsung Galaxy S10

Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus – Best Samsung Phones In India

First of all, Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is not the most powerful smartphone in the S20 series. If you are looking for the most powerful smartphone, you should consider the ‘Ultra’ variant of Galaxy S20. But to be honest, there is not much difference.

Though it’s not the top-end offering in the S20 series, still it is a powerful, feature-packed, and capable premium smartphone. This smartphone checks almost all the boxes that an ideal phone should have.

    Design and Build

As expected, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus feels very premium. It has an aluminum frame, which looks rich. It has Gorilla Glass 6 on the front, Gorilla Glass 5 on the back, so it’s a well-protected smartphone. Looking at its front, the first thing you notice here is an almost bezel-less display panel.

At the back, you get to see a rectangular camera module which is located in the top left corner of the rear. This camera module is quite different from last year’s. All the other features like IP68 water resistance, stereo speakers, and microSD support is also there. Overall this smartphone looks modern, at the same time has that Samsung touch to it.

    Specs and Performance

The display is one of the key highlights of the Galaxy S20 Plus. It has a 6.7-inch display panel. This is a Dynamic AMOLED display panel with a resolution of 3,200 x 1,440, so its a QHD+ display panel. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Besides, it has also got a 120Hz smooth higher refresh rate. So the scrolling experience on this smartphone is just fantastic. Although the 120Hz refresh rate is only available at an FHD+ resolution and if you want to enjoy the QHD+ resolution, sadly you have to switch to 60Hz instead.

Depending on the region, you get a Qualcomm Snapdragon or Exynos processor on this smartphone. In India, the Galaxy S20+ is powered by the Exynos 990 chip. It’s an octa-core processor which is manufactured using a 7nm process. Here, the graphics are handled by the Mali-G77 GPU. You get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

    Camera

At the back, it has a quad-camera setup. The primary sensor is a 12MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization, and Dual Pixel autofocus support. The pixel size is 1.8 micron. The second sensor is a 12MP ultra wide-angle sensor, with a narrower f/2.2 aperture and 1.4-micron pixel size.

It doesn’t have autofocus. The third sensor is a telephoto lens. It is a 64MP sensor with no optical stabilization. It also has a depth vision sensor, which is handy in some situations. This camera setup also supports 8K video recording and up to 30x hybrid zoom.

It has a 10MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture and Dual Pixel AutoFocus.

    Battery

Talking about the battery life, it has a 4,500 mAh battery, which considering the QHD+ display panel, is decent, but not very great. Still, it is should last a full working day with moderate usage. It also supports 25 Watt fast charging, which charges the phone in an hour. The fast charger comes bundled in the box, which shouldn’t be a surprise.

    Verdict

It is a great smartphone with an amazing display, smooth UI experience, and amazing camera functionality, and you should check it out.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip – Best Samsung Phones In India

Folding phones were a thing of the future until the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip arrived. Of course, there were folding phones before the Galaxy Z Flip, but when this one came, it blew a lot of minds. So in simple words, it is a folding phone, which is premium in each category.

    Design and Build

So design-wise, this smartphone looks fairly normal, apart from that folding thingy. The phone is divided into 2 parts. The finish is a bit on the brighter side. Overall for me, the gradient reflective finish was a bit flashy, but that’s just my opinion. The Galaxy Z Flip is an exceptionally well-built smartphone. Everything, from the hinge to the metal frame to the glass backs of the two halves, feels very premium.

    Specs and Performance

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip comes with a 6.7-inch touchscreen primary display with a resolution of 1080×2636 pixels. It has a pixel density of 425 pixels per inch (PPI). It also features a secondary display on the front lid. This tiny display is an OLED panel which is only 1.1-inches, with a resolution of 112×300 pixels at a pixel density of 303 pixels per inch (PPI). The only function of this display is to show basic information like the time, notifications, and media controls.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is powered by a 2.95GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, which is a beefed-up version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip runs Android 10.

    Camera

The Galaxy Z Flip features two rear cameras, though they can be used for selfies. This dual-camera setup is situated on the hood of the phone. The main sensor is a 12MP standard angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization, and the secondary sensor is a wide-angle lens with 12MP of resolution with a 123-degree field of view and no optical image stabilization. Plus there’s also a front camera inside. This camera is situated inside the cutout. It’s a 10MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

    Battery

The Galaxy Z Flip is packed with a 3,300mAh battery capacity. This isn’t a lot considering today’s standards. But it should last you up to four to five hours. It supports 15W wired charging, which again is a bit slow. This smartphone also has wireless charging up to 9W.

    Verdict

This isn’t a smartphone for everyone. If you want to experience something cools, which looks futuristic, and at the same time you want that premium and flagship performance, go with this one.

Samsung Galaxy A71 – Best Samsung Phones In India

The Galaxy A-series is very popular in India. Samsung focuses on this lineup quite a lot. Especially the budget to the mid-range category of the A-series is very exciting. The Samsung Galaxy A71 is an upper mid-range smartphone, which is a good deal for your money.

    Design and Build

The Samsung Galaxy A71 comes with a polycarbonate back. A polycarbonate back panel makes the phone more durable. But in the first glass, one might think of it as a glass panel, and I am saying it as a compliment. The gradient design combined with the glossy coating makes the back look and feel like glass. But as it is made out of plastic, it doesn’t add too much weight to the device. The Galaxy A71 measures 163.6 x 76 x 7.7mm and weighs around 179g. It also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is nice.

    Specs and Performance

The Galaxy A71 comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ display panel with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9. It uses Samsung’s Infinity-O screen technology. There’s a single punch-hole camera at the top of the display.

The Galaxy A71 features Snapdragon 730. It’s an octa-core processor and is manufactured on the 8nm process. It comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS.

    Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A71 has a quad-rear camera setup. The primary sensor is a 64MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The second sensor is a 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 123-degree field of view. The third one is a 5 MP macro sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a fourth sensor is a 5MP portrait camera with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, it sports a 32MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.

    Battery

The Samsung Galaxy A71 packs a 4,500mAh battery. It should easily give you a day of battery backup. You also get 25W of fast charging support with the Galaxy A71.

    Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy A71 comes with a good design, better cameras, and an accurate display. So for the money, it’s the best Samsung device you could buy.

Samsung Galaxy A51 – Best Samsung Phones In India

Samsung’s A-series of Galaxy phones have been doing quite well in the last couple of years. The Samsung Galaxy A51 is a mid-range smartphone from Samsung. It comes with a good design aesthetic and an AMOLED display panel.

    Design and build

Just like the Galaxy A71, the Galaxy A51 also features a plastic design on the back. Iy comes with an all-polycarbonate body. The glossy back finish is prone to picking up fingerprints. It has a 7.9mm thickness, so it’s relatively slim. It weighs around 172g. It has a rectangular camera module on the rear and apart from that the back is clear.

    Specs and Performance

The Samsung Galaxy A51 comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ display panel. It is a SuperAMOLED display panel. It also features an Infinity-O display which means it has a cutout in the display that houses the front camera. The bezels are also very slim here.

Talking about the processor, the Galaxy A51 is powered by Samsung Exynos 9611 processor which feels quite weak considering today’s standards. It comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

    Camera

It also features a quad camera setup on the back. This camera setup includes a 48MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, a 12MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP Macro sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor.

This smartphone comes with One UI 2.0. In One UI 2.0, the camera app has been redesigned. Some shooting modes include Pro, Panorama, Food, Hyperlapse, Super slow-mo, and Slow-motion to name a few. On the front, it gets a 32MP sensor for better selfies.

    Battery

Samsung Galaxy A51 comes with a 4000mAh battery capacity which should last you a full working day with moderate usage. But, the biggest complaint here is regarding the charging speed. It only supports 15W fast charge, which especially considering the price point is very disappointing.

     Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy A51 offers a better camera, improved display, and better battery life. So if you want a mid-range smartphone, you can go with it, just keep the lower charging speeds in mind.

Samsung Galaxy S10 – Best Samsung Phones In India

So, the Samsung Galaxy S10 was launched in 2019, but it offered some of the best specs that were available at the time. And now after one year, you still get all those specs, but for a cheaper price than before. So, the Samsung Galaxy S10 offers flagship-level performance, that too in less price than original and this makes it a great deal today.

    Design and Build

Let me start by saying that its a gorgeous looking smartphone. It has glass design which feels premium. It’s wrapped in an Aluminum chassis. It also has Gorilla Glass Protection with this. It just weighs 157 grams and measures 150 mm x 70 mm x 7.8 mm.

It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner and most importantly it’s a flagship that comes with a headphone jack.

    Specs and Performance

As it’s a flagship device, all the specs you get here are top-notch. The Galaxy S10 has a 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display panel. It has a 19:9 aspect ratio. Since it is a QuadHD+ panel it pushes out 550ppi pixel density. The display also comes with the HDR10+ certification.

Talking about the processor, it has last year’s flagship processor, Snapdragon 855, which is a 2.8GHz octa-core processor. It is build using a 7nm manufacturing process. In India, it comes with an Exynos 9820 processor. It’s available in 8GB RAM and 128GB or 512GB storage options.

    Camera

It comes with a triple rear camera setup at the back. The primary sensor is a 12MP wide-angle sensor. It has autofocus and OIS. It also has dual f/1.5 and f/2.4 apertures. The secondary sensor is a 12MP 2x telephoto lens which also has autofocus and OIS support. It comes with an f/2.4 aperture. And finally, the third sensor is a 16MP ultra-wide sensor. It has a 123-degree Field of View and comes with f/2.2 aperture.

On the front, we get a 10MP selfie shooter with autofocus and f/1.9 aperture.

    Battery

Samsung Galaxy S10 is powered by a 3,400mAhLithium-ion battery, which is the main reason for the smartphone being lightweight. It supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. It also has wireless and reverse wireless charging support.

    Verdict

Saying it in one sentence would be, ‘You can’t go wrong with the Samsung Galaxy S10’. It has all the stuff you expect from a premium smartphone.
